I knew I could create a Sigma 6 Lt. Stone pilot figure from the moment I got the Dragonhawk.  I used the 2.5" Stone figure as a basis and I think it came out pretty well. 

I began by modifying the trooper helmet, cutting off the visor and sanding down the Cobra emblem and ridge from the top of the helmet.  Next I took a pair of Duke's goggles and cut off the ear pieces, being careful to keep both the lenses and ear pieces intact.  I flipped the ear pieces upside down and glued them to the side of the helmet.  Using one of the infamous twist-ties from the packaging I cut it down and after cutting a small hole in the right ear piece, inserted the twist-tie to create the mic boom.  I stumbled across part of a Snake-Eyes molded head visor on my workbench and knew instantly that it would work for a microphone.  I superglued it to the end of the boom I had installed and the mic was in place.  Next I used the lenses from the Duke goggles and sanded them down to fit on the helmet and glued them in place.  Finally to recreate the round "dial" on the right side of the helmet I used the round earpiece from a Jungle Snake-Eyes mask, sanded it down to fit the curve of the helmet and glued it in place.  All that was left was painting it to match the 2.5" figure and it was done.

For the figure I just painted the red accents black to match the 2.5" color scheme.  The holsters were easy.  I took an extra right holster from another Stone and trimmed it down to match the existing shoulder holster.  Its not exact but its as close as you can get.  I drilled a hole in the shoulder strap and just inserted the holster peg.  So both holsters are removable and swivel like the factory figure.

All in all I think this is my new favorite custom I've done.  I love that it matches the 2.5" figure and has that James Bond superspy look too it as well.

Lt. Stone wore a special version of the Sigma suit and a flight helmet when he first encountered the Sigma 6.  This is the same uniform he wears when he goes on infiltration missions.  He is an expert pilot, especially in the Dragonhawk.  Stone is also a master of disguise and after the betrayal of the team by Firefly, has taken a darker, more serious tone with his Sigma 6 teammates.  Although he won't speak of it openly, he carries a great deal of guilt for the harm that came to the team when Firefly defected and feels personally responsible for all the pain Firefly caused.  He has made it his mission to track down and apprehend his former protégé at all costs.
