At the September 2003 Slanted Fedora Sci-fi Convention held in Kansas City, Missouri, the newly formed PrairieScapers group hosted a Save Farscape table. There were no Farscape guests scheduled to attend, but the opportunity to "share the wonders" couldn't be passed up. It was a great chance to reach out to other genre fans who weren't as aware of the campaign. We gave away prizes which were donated by the extremely generous Farscape fans from the Frell Me Dead boards and beyond. The infamous stuffed Rygel was a huge hit and posed with all but two of the official guests. All in all, it was a huge success for everyone involved. Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Here's a shot of the dealer room. We got lucky enough to get a corner table that was right in front of the guest entrance to the stage. We got to meet and chat with just about every one of the guests for a little while before and after they went on stage. I must say they were all very generous with their time.

This is a shot of our table set-up. As you can see, we got a little more for our money than we expected. The corner position was sa-weet! Here you can see the display of some of the Ratscape Wanted posters. I tried to feature as many of the main cast as I could. I also put on Rockne, Brian, DK and Froon.

This is a shot of the campaign "propaganda" section of the table. We had a lot of information for the folks to pick up. Also, I put together a binder with all of the Ratscape posters that were in the Save Farscape con kit.

Here's a nice shot of the "swag" section of the table. We had several action figures to give away as well as some calendars and a couple of the RPG books. You can also see my Qualta Blade. I thought it might bring in some people and it worked. Oh, and the yellow bowl there has some of Rygel's favorite "Erp" delicacies that we gave away to the kiddies. (M&M's and Reesee's Peecee's)

And finally, here's a shot of his Royal Highness himself, lording over his bowl of "Erp" candies. He was quite a popular guy, rubbing elbows with the stars.
