Base Figure: 2 Ninja B.A.T. figures Paint: none Accessories: 2 Ninja B.A.T. swords
The plan: to take the right forearm from one Ninja B.A.T. and modify it to fit on the grappling arm of a second Ninja B.A.T.
Well I thought I could use the boil and pop method to remove the right forearm but found that the plastic the figure was made of was a harder plastic from the rest of the line. So I took out my trusty dremel and a cutting wheel and split open the donor arm. Next I took the donor figure and cut out the left hand so I could use it on the finish figure. After I had the parts removed from the donor figure I removed the lower grapping arm from the finish figure and cut off the "nub" from the upper left arm so it would better match the articulated right arm. Then I switched out the cutting wheel for a drill bit and drilled my holes, 1 in the upper arm for the elbow joint and one in the lower arm for the wrist joint. With some adjustment to the donor arm joints themselves the pegs slid into their respective holes and fit like a custom made glove. Add in a couple of the Ninja B.A.T. swords and I now finally have a Ninja B.A.T. with respectable articulation.
The only downside is I now have one torn up Ninja B.A.T. that I can't think of anything to do with… yet!
