I'm not sure what possessed me to make this custom.  There was just something about the Zartan figure that struck me and with a little work I came up with Zanzibar.

Base Figure: Zartan w/ Long Range head
Accessories: Ninja Armor Snake-Eyes spear

I don't know why I did this one.  Zanzibar isn't really a character I'm fond of.  But the parts came together nicely and I think it works.  I used the Long Range ponytail as a base and moved it up higher on the head and with some sculpey and a wire frame had the high-top ponytail.  Shaving down the arms after cutting off the gauntlets was a pain and I'm still not completely happy with how they came out but they'll do until I get some time to work on them some more.  Overall I'm satisfied with him.

Zanzibar grew up on the docks of the Caribbean amongst the thieves and smugglers.  Along with pickpocketing he developed his sailing skills and quickly became adept at piloting anything on the water.  Taking up with a group of smugglers he learned the art of piracy.  During the raid of a simple cargo ship he came into contact with the Dreadnoks who were safeguarding the smuggled Cobra cargo on board.  Seeing his skill and flair for the dramatic, Zartan made Zanzibar and offer to join them and he accepted, after turning on his fellow smugglers that is.  Since he has taken the position of being in charge of Cobra's "procurement" operations on the high seas.  Whenever there is a ship being plundered, Zanzibar isn't too far.
