Figure: Camo Long Range w/ alternate Snake-eyes v.1 head Accessories: Custom rifle / Sigma Strike Duke Switchfire pistol / Temple Tracker Spirit knife / Shipwreck sword / Firefly v.1 web harness / custom belt and pistol holster rig
The only stipulations I had going into this custom were that I had to use red and gray as the accent colors and that I had to put the "Kronin" logo on the face. After chatting with Kronin1 and seeing some other 3 3/4" customs of "Kronin" we decided that the Camo Long Range figure would be a great base for a Sigma 6 version of the character. I had wanted to try to develop a "pop 'n' swap" neck joint so I could use different heads on figures without boiling and popping every time. So this seemed like a great opportunity to give it a try. I first did the few modifications to the figure including the "pop 'n' swap" neck and also replaced the wrist comm with a blade from the Kamakura v.1 figure. Then I painted the base areas black and the accents red and gray as requested. After getting the paint all sealed up I set to work on the heads. We decided that the unmasked head should have a little gray in his hair so I "aged" the temples a bit with some light drybrushing of the same gray I used on the body. Then I also painted the masked Snake-eyes v.1 head in that same gray color and after letting it completely dry I went to work on the logo. This was perhaps the hardest part of the custom. I got a sample image of the logo itself from Kronin1 and using that as a guide I got out my fine tip Sharpie and set to work. Luckily I got it all right on the first try and with a tiny bit of touchups to the paint the head was finished. Next I had to get the accessories done. I made a custom belt and holster rig for the pistol and added the Firefly v.1 chest harness to hold the Shipwreck sword and the Spirit knife. The rifle was a bit more difficult. I used the rifle from a Duke v.1 figure and the pistol section from a Hi-Tech v.1 figure and bashed the two together. Add in a quick coat of black paint and it was all set. I threw in the Sigma 6 locker (cuz the figures come with them and it was part of the package) and "Kronin" was all fully Sigma-fied!
