Sigma 6 Frostbite

After seeing the Wave 4 Arctic Duke I just knew he had to be Frostbite.  I had him pictured in my mind from the time the first pictures were revealed at Toy Fair.  And now here he is, a proper arctic trooper for the Sigma 6 team.

FROSTBITE

Base Figure: Arctic Duke w/ modified head
Accessories: Arctic Duke vest, gaunlets, ice pick / Arctic Snake-eyes snowboard / Ninja Battles Storm Shadow pants (modified) / 1/6 scale weapons

From the first time I saw the pictures from Toy Fair I knew Arctic Duke was destined to be Frostbite.  I trimmed down Duke's hair, sculpted on a stocking cap and beard, and added some black paint to the trim to set it apart from Duke.  I took a pair of Ninja Battles Storm Shadows pants that I had leftover from another custom and added them to the figure.  I had already removed the black belt for another custom so I just had to squeeze the pants over Duke's big boots.  Throw in some 1/6 scale weapons and my arctic trooper was complete.

Code Name: Frostbite
Real Name: Seward, Farley S.
Arctic Trooper

Primary Military Specialty: Arctic Infantry
Secondary Military Specialty: Vehicle Maintenance/Driver

Frostbite was born in Alaska where he worked on the Alaskan pipeline before enlisting in the Army.  He had an aptitude for machines and quickly worked his way through all of the Army's vehicle maintenance schools becoming an expert at field repair.  On a mission to Antarctica to assist scientists in establishing a new base, Frostbite's team ran into an ice storm and was trapped out on the tundra for 3 days when the vehicles fuel lines froze.  It was Frostbite's level head and love of the cold along with his training that allowed him to repair the vehicles and save the team from freezing to death.  Upon his return to the States he was called upon by Hawk to join the Sigma 6 team.  Serving as the teams primary arctic specialist, Frostbite helped Hi-Tech develop the Ice Sabre vehicle and uses it to deliver the team on missions to Cobra's arctic strongholds.  Frostbite prefers it in the snow, the colder the better.  When he's not on missions he's developing new cold weather gear and putting the team through survival training sessions.  Normally the sight of a lone soldier crossing the snow on rocket skis through sub-zero temperatures and driving snow wouldn't be cause to worry but that's exactly how Frostbite likes it and he'd be grinning all the way.
