Code Name: G.I. Joe Real Name: Colton, Joseph B. Strategic & Tactical Operations
Primary Military Specialty: Tactical Analysis Secondary Military Specialty: Infantry
Joseph Colton is a graduate of West Point and served as a Green Beret before moving into Black Ops. It was working with a C.I.A. team in Northern Africa that the Cobra organization was first discovered. Upon realizing the scope of this new threat, Colton proposed assembling a special tactical response unit dedicated to tracking down and stopping them. He was given the codename G.I. Joe and began developing the Sigma 6 unit. Colton called upon General Clayton "Hawk" Abernathy to assemble the team and to act as field leader. This allows Colton to handle the politics of command while Hawk handles the day to day operations. Colton uses his expertise in strategy and tactics to plan out the teams operations and to coordinate with other units within the military. He acts as the "public" face of the unit in Washington and commands from a special operations center in the Pentagon. When necessary, Colton dons a Sigma Suit and leads the team on special operations in the field.
