This figure started out with some spare parts I threw together on a whim.  Originally it was going to be a Hydro Viper but after looking at it some I decided on making it a Joe diver.  I added the fins to the lower legs to help differentiate him from the other diver figures.  They are made of parts from Sea Ops Duke fins and glued into slots I cut into the legs.  The rest was matching the paint and a custom mix I had worked well, matching the orange of the Firefly body and covering the orange of the Wet-Suit body, a subtle change that makes all the difference I think.

Guardian trained as a Coast Guard Rescue Swimmer and served with distinction at USCG Air Station Kodiak in Alaska, one of the most active Coast Guard stations in the country.  With a record number of saves Guardian is also one of the most decorated members of the Coast Guard.  Returning from a rescue mission of a crab fishing boat, his helo came across a merchant vessel that had been attacked by Cobra.  Unable to take on any more survivors, Guardian volunteered to stay with the crew aboard the sinking vessel and wait for another helo to return.  This act of bravery and self-sacrifice brought him to the attention of General Hawk and he was invited to join the Sigma 6 team.  Serving as the Joes main rescue swimmer and EMT, its Guardians job to back up the team on their missions on the open water and pull the injured to safety. 

Torpedo: "Guardian is the only diver on my team that's not SEAL qualified.  Normally this would be a problem but when I'm deep in the damp with Cobras all around, there's no one else I want pulling my ass out of the water.  He gets the job done and doesn't look for the credit, just the next chance to save a friends life."
